In this second battle Waldenses were able to stop the Duke of Savoy\u2019s troops, who were attempting to assault the Protestant bastion of <a href=\"http:\/\/valdesina.it\/en\/2014\/08\/25\/pradeltorno-angrogna-2\/\"><span style=\"color: #008000;\">Pradeltorno<\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_1559\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1559\" style=\"width: 1000px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/valdesina.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/rocciaglie_3.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-1559\" src=\"http:\/\/valdesina.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/rocciaglie_3.jpg\" alt=\"The beautiful landscape that can be seen from the Eigard\u00f2ou\" width=\"1000\" height=\"663\" srcset=\"https:\/\/valdesina.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/rocciaglie_3.jpg 1535w, https:\/\/valdesina.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/rocciaglie_3-604x400.jpg 604w, https:\/\/valdesina.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/rocciaglie_3-768x509.jpg 768w, https:\/\/valdesina.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/rocciaglie_3-825x547.jpg 825w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-1559\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The beautiful landscape that can be seen from the Eigard\u00f2ou<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Here we also find, among <a href=\"http:\/\/valdesina.it\/en\/2014\/06\/20\/943\/\"><span style=\"color: #008000;\">Arvura<\/span> <\/a>and <a href=\"http:\/\/valdesina.it\/en\/2014\/01\/31\/barma-mounastira-angrogna-2\/\"><span style=\"color: #008000;\">Barma Mounastira<\/span><\/a>, a place (that can be reached only through an overhanging path) called Eigard\u00f2ou: this name means &#8220;place of guard&#8221; and from this point Waldenses used to observe the whole valley to keep an eye on the movements of the troops of Savoy that aimed to conquer Pradeltorno.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How to get here:<\/strong><br \/>\n<em>reach Pradeltorno (district of Angrogna) coming from Torre Pellice and, once you leave the Provincial Street 161 entering the town, take Generale Martinat Street right before the bridge on Angrogna creek. Go through the whole street and you\u2019ll reach the hamlet known as Chiot dl\u2019Aiga, then take the road on your left (Pradeltorno Street) that takes to the valley bottom.<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Once in Pradeltorno, park your car and walk along the street between the cemetery and the <a href=\"http:\/\/valdesina.it\/en\/2014\/02\/21\/the-temple-of-pradeltorno-angrogna\/\"><span style=\"color: #008000;\">Waldensian temple<\/span><\/a>.<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Over the temple turn right into a not paved road. After a ten minutes\u2019 walk you will get to the small hamlet of Fau. The road here turns into a small path and after a 30 minutes\u2019 walk on a flat path you\u2019ll get to the abandoned houses of Eigard\u00f2ou (dopo essere passati sotto Barma Mounastira).<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hi there!
