\nToday I wanna tell you a really special story, one of those stories grandmothers used to tell their children many years ago\u2026<\/p>\n

\"This<\/a>
This is the Roccha d\u2019la Fantina (or Roccha Filera)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The rock you can see behind me is called \u201cRoccha d\u2019la Fantina\u201d, which literally means \u201cthe Fairy\u2019s rock\u201d, and it is said that a magical creature lives on its top.<\/p>\n

I’m on the road hat goes from from S. Lorenzo to the Serre<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Every year on Christmas night between midnight and one o\u2019clock a white fairy appears\u2026 she spins wool, one foot standing on the rock, the other standing on a large walnut tree.
\nYou\u2019re probably askin\u2019 yourself why she is standing in that strange position, aren\u2019t you?!
\nWell, she stands that way to let her magical spindle slide down to the road that runs along the rock leading up to the village.<\/p>\n

If the night is bright enough, the moon will enlighten both the fairy and her spindle\u2026 whoever will lightly touch the spindle will be rewarded with an everlasting luck!<\/p>\n

Let me tell you one thing: according to some, this extraordinary event does not occur in winter, but on June 24th, on St. John\u2019s night\u2026
\nWhat is for sure is that at one o\u2019clock the fairy will fade away and no one will see her again till the next year.<\/p>\n

So, guys, ask mom and dad to take you there on a warm June 24th summer evening; the road is the one that goes from St. Lorenzo to Serre of Angrogna, you can\u2019t go wrong\u2026 and keep your eyes wide open!<\/p>\n

How to get there:<\/strong>
\nfrom Provincial Road 161, between Torre Pellice and Luserna San Giovanni, at the roundabout take the road to Angrogna (you’ll also find the traffic signals to Guieiza d’la Tana<\/span><\/a>, Chabas and Vaccera). Follow the road and you’ll get to the main square of San Lorenzo, then continue for about 800 m and you will find on the right the sign \u201cTorrente Vengie<\/span><\/a> e Roccha Filera\u201d.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
