Valdesina exibition: the photoreport

Monday 15 August, during the annual celebrations of the Waldensian churches of the 1st District that took place in Rorà, in Val Pellice, a temporary exhibition has been issued for the three years of my blog. You can’t even imagine how I was excited: me, Valdesina, as the protagonist of an exhibition! There have been so many kind and interested persons that for me has been a beautiful surprise!

The day’s been very nice and full of events, with many open museums and a lot of exhibitions set up for the occasion.

The exhibition venue was the “Gargaria”, literally “laziness”. The name derives from the old habit of sitting down on the steps under the portico to chat and lose the sense of time.

Until 1930s the building was a inn, the Locanda del Camoscio, which means The Chamois Inn. As time went by, this place became the home of Tourn family until more or less 20 years ago. Since then it remaines empty and it has been opened for the first time for this exhibition.

Ho presentato qualche incontro con i bambini per raccontare le leggende delle valli valdesi. Qui potete vedere i paper toy che ho costruito assieme ai bimbi in occasione di Pralibro (Prali)
In the exhibition I’ve selected some activity made with the children to recount the legends of the Waldensian valleys. Here are some paper toys we made together with the youngsters during Pralibro, a literary festival in Prali.
This is another workshop dedicated to the children: a marionette show set up in a kindergarden to recount the legend of Toumpi d' l Oursa.

Here you can see some old thing which belonged to the inhabitants of the house. I found them very interesting, and the visitors as well. Can you recognize the objects on the table?

Taking advantage from the beautiful weather and from the ample patio, a refreshment hour has been set along with a little shop. Look at the beautiful panorama: mountains, woods and the Rocca Roussa.
